The tiban

In West Indies, mostly in Martinique, the small bench or « tiban » (creole language) is an household furniture. Its use varies according to the people who use it. It’s a private item and it’s uncommon that people use it for their guest. However when seats are enough, the owner can let him seat on the small bench.
So that the furniture has two faces : one standard and the other shaped for the owner.
And the manufacturing process is as follows : the wooden part is produced in industrial way. And the white tube is heated in front of the future owner who sit on it to give the object the ultimate shape.
